Hockey update: Thrashers are out, but the Nasty Nest is in!!! No, we're not in the playoffs, but we're the coolest thing to ever hit the ice. I play wing (sometimes right, sometimes left; most of the time i don't know where the hell i am...)and wear #14 because I love Jon Sim and act like him on the ice. I never shut up. Pretty much the same as off the ice.
Hmmm...where to start...well, alot of people know me as "gamera," so if that's who you're looking for, you've come to the right spot!
and now a little about me:
I love animals and have 5 dogs (3 Italian Greyhounds; Iggy, Sassy, Paulie and 2 Miniature pinschers; Spike and Pep), a blue-fronted Amazon parrot, "Perry" (18 years old; she's like my "daughter"), and a host of turtles, tortoises, snakes and iguanas.

My largest tortoise is "Sheldon" a rescue sulcata I adopted while working as a reptile keeper Zoo Atlanta (a person called the reptile house, asked if anyone wanted him; he weighed about 3 lbs then, now he's well over 50 lbs!);

my rarest tortoise is "Mojo," a radiated tortoise who is now 14 and really wants a girlfriend. update 7/15/07 Mojo passed away yesterday due to complications from an infection and kidney failure. He was 15, which is very young for a tortoise. I am very sad, as he was a really cool tortoise. :(

Other chelonians include a breeding pair of Rhinoclemmys pulcherrima who have provided me with over a dozen babies over the past few years, 4 Rhinoclemmys areolata, and "Vladimir," the Russian tortoise.

I also have two 15-year-old iguanas (also rescues, they were 2 years old when I got them) and another one, which is a baby I hatched. "Riggs," the female 15-year old, is the tamest of them and she loves to lounge in the sun with my dogs in the winter when everyone is inside.

Snakes I have are "Alice" (11 ft boa I've had since she was a foot long baby; now 10 years old), "Chiquita," a chondropython, and a Kenyan sand boa.

Currently, I am employed as an animal keeper/trainer at a petting zoo. I really enjoy it, as I had never worked with farm animals before and had no idea they were so smart and personable. We have 13 goats, 12 sheep, and 4 pigs. All of them have names and are trained on various behaviours regularly. Some even perform "agility" similar to that done with dogs.
