Originally from London, England, owner Pete Mason spent 17 years working for both major and independent record labels in the UK including Polydor, Phonogram, Chrysalis, Go! Discs, Independiente and at the same time was also involved in various songwriting and studio projects. Although Pete enjoyed his time working for the record labels and learning about the music business, it was always his ambition to be more involved with writing and recording music.Pete has been fortunate to meet and work with some wonderful people in the music industry along with a few of the UK’s finest artists including two of his all time hero's John Martyn and Paul Weller. During his time at Independiente, Pete was invited by Paul to work as Executive Producer for his live solo acoustic album "Days Of Speed." The album was released in 2002 and reached no.3 in the UK album charts. Pete was also involved in bringing legendary singer-songwriter and guitarist, John Martyn to Go! Discs and then later to Independiente where he worked with John on four albums.Pete left the UK and moved to Wisconsin, USA, in 2004 where he lives with his wife and young daughter. After settling into his new surroundings, Pete set up his own recording studio where he began composing and producing music for use in Audio/Visual projects.In April 2009 Pete started his own music company; Solid Air Music LLC, which includes a BMI affiliated publishing division (Go Easy Music) and released his debut collection of production music entitled "Solid Electronic" which features 12 electronic instrumental tracks ranging from upbeat techno to calm ambient themes.More production music collections, in many different styles are scheduled for the near future as well as other music projects that Pete is currently working on.
