If an anarchling had a sound, what would it be?

About Me

The most "needy, selfish, optimistic pessimist with misanthropic genocidal tendencies that fails in rational logic to bring everything together" person you will meet.
That is how some people would sum me up, I suppose. I am sure I could squeeze a couple of more descriptive items in that sentence. Otherwise, I can give you a boring "about me" description I suppose.
Born in Lakeland, Florida and moved to Colorado when I was about eight years old. From that point, it seemed as though I was on my own when having to learn life experiences. That is pretty rough when you wear your heart on your sleeve.
I'm pretty anti-social which also leads me to being a computer geek. Not as geeky as I would like, but close enough to get myself in trouble.
I have two kick ass kids from a previous marriage. Tony and Mike. Both just like their father, I think. I'm always struggling to be a better father to them, because I don't think I can do enough for them.
Otherwise, I am pretty boring. Trying to learn more about economics, politics, bushcraft, and find myself walking through old abandoned buildings.
That is about it.

My Interests

I have always been interested in religion and how it affects my life. From an early childhood I have been reading about various religions and how I could incorporate them into my life.

The past few years I have slowly put the puzzle pieces together to understand religion and faith. In my opinion, both are recipes for disaster. Only during the last couple of years, mainly just this last year, I've grown more interested in philosophy.

I figure that religion builds itself off of human reasoning. So then why not study philosophy? I believe that philosophy will help build my own morals properly without being brainwashed by using religion instead. That is, if I carefully watch the path I walk.

The last couple of years I have become more interested in economics and it's relation to politics. I seriously could go on and on about this subject. If you stick around long enough, I am sure you will see a few of my blogs harping on topics revolving around those issues.

Unfortunately, I'm also anti-social. But, I'm trying to spread my wings at my own pace. I'm currently looking into expanding my limited understanding of bushcraft .

I know what you might be thinking, "how does that help you from being anti-social?" I don't know, but it is a start damn it! It possibly might get me to spread to other communities of people with like minded interest. I am also hoping that it will spark other interests to help relieve stress in my life.

I also have a fond interest in ghost hunting. Currently that hobby is practically dead because of other things going on. Not to mention that I am a bit picky when it comes to how I want things done. I tend to force my control of this subject on others. So, I need to learn to play fair.

I'd like to meet:

At the moment, I'd like to attend one of Noam Chomsky's lectures. I think he is rather bland when he talks, but the information he talks about is extremely important.

EVERYDAY ANARCHISM

BLACK CANYON

Music:

Most of the music I like to listen to is politically or philosophically driven. Artists like NIN, Marilyn Manson, Rage Against the Machine, and System of A Down are just a few that I listen too.

Currently, I'm excited for Nine Inch Nails new album that is coming out. Year Zero. It seems to be very politically motivated. My favorite track off of it so far that has been leaked is " Ball Game Over ."

Movies:

I am very picky about the movies I like to watch. With this subject, most politically driven movies are good to me. Good in the sense that I like hearing the opinions given.

Also, I like movies that have a more realistic ending, such as in The Descent. The plots that movies use are basically used up, so that subject doesn't even count to me. It counts about how they display the story, such as in Memento.

Television:

Touchy subject. Ninety-eight percent of the time I like to keep the television off because of the corp-politicals who control what you view. I firmly believe in what Noam Chomsky said about dumbing down the masses:

"Irrational attitudes of submission to authority"

They use various media techniques to keep you stupid. Targeting your ability to critically think.

Books:

Currently, I'm reading Noam Chomsky's "Language and Politics". The book itself is quite intimidating, but I wanted to jump into the deep end and start reading up on some of his work. Also, I'm reading up on the Anarchist FAQ to get a more insight look at this concept.(I didn't understand why Paul liked anarchism, but I'm starting to see the light of his opinion)

I'm also reading a couple of other books related to memory and it's function. I hope to increase my understanding of how memory works so I can apply it to my own life.

Otherwise, I'm just downloading a lot of other books for later use. I'll try to compile of ebooks that I have and post them in a future blog.

Heroes:

Don't disillusion yourself with other people. No one in this world deserves to be put up on a pedestal, except yourself. Accomplish great things and strive to better yourself through your own ethics.

Take responsibility for your actions! Stop trying to blame other people for your short comings. If you look back on most situations, you'll see that you had some hand in the outcome.
