About Me

So they say George Hrab and the Geologic Orchestra are an anomaly. How so? What exactly IS Geo-logic? Well... Its being wry but not cynical, talented but modest. Its intelligent lyrics that are goofy, stupid arrangements that are brilliant. Its the idea of extremely smart guys doing exceptionally silly things in both amazingly complex and simply straightforward ways. Its being a 9 piece horn band that rocks, while at the same time being a guitar based rock band thats funky. Its wanting desperately to play exactly the kind of music we want to play, while insuring that whoever is lucky (or unlucky) enough to hear us will be more entertained than theyve been in a long, LONG time.Look, we have a following, and its growing every day. Talk about LOYAL fan base. Im sometimes more afraid of their LOYALTY than their rabies. Who listens to this stuff? Well- guys who love music, girls who love musicians, folks who like to dance, dudes who laugh at dick jokes, chicks who know the difference between Handel and Hayden, musicians with chops, lawyers with a sense of humor, biologists and chemists with a vast collection of P-Funk CDs, skeptics who collect Led Zeppelin posters, philosophers who s favorite movie is Stop Making Sense, rock fans, funk fans, prog fans, jazz fans, and people who love to think for themselves. Demographics be damned, I say
