Anyone who is tolerant and respectful. I enjoy people who I can learn something from. I enjoy people who want more out of life than to sit on a bar stool five or six nights a week throwing back 'cold ones'. I enjoy people who think there might be more to life than what's been revealed to them so far. I enjoy people who want to learn. I enjoy people who aren't so full of themselves that they can't see the forest for the trees.
With that said, people I would like to meet (or to have met) include Stephen Flowers, Michael Aquino, Aleister Crowley, Anton LaVey, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Jack Nicholson, Bruce Lee, Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Connelly, Jenna Jameson
Pretty much everything and anything. I have a predilection towards the music I grew up with, since it is so interlinked with my memories. Rock music is my first great love however. The bombastic bands of the 70's and 80's especially - Kiss, Van Halen, Queen, Nugent, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Journey, Motley Crue, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Sex Pistols. Some of my favorite artists also include Kings X and Beatles. What most of my friends have a 'very' hard time understanding though is my love for black/death metal. I dig bands like Cradle of Filth, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Opeth, Morbid Angel, In Flames, Bathory, Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Marilyn Manson, etc.
I love movies of all types, although I prefer movies with well-written scripts, which seems hard to find these days. I especially love old sci-fi & horror. (Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still, War of the Worlds, Time Machine, Planet of the Apes, 2001, etc.) The old Hammer Films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Of course Star Wars. More recently, Underworld, Sin City, Gladiator, Dracula, Dark City, Matrix, LOTR, Fight Club, Tombstone, American History X, X-Men, Silent Hill, V for Vendetta, and Aeon Flux.
I don't watch much TV anymore. When I was younger I LOVED the tube and watched it religiously. I loved anything with a bit of sci-fi, mystery, horror, fanstasy, and/or action to it. I loved cartoons as well as sitcoms. I loved to laugh. Probably my favorite shows were things like Star Trek, Lost in Space (in fact, pretty much anything Irwin Allen put out at that time), Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, UFO, Battlestar Galactica, Night Stalker, Wild Wild West, Dark Shadows, etc.
At one time I was a huge Anne Rice fan, and read most everything she put out. I especially loved the "Witching Hour" series. Also, a big fan of Stephen King's "Gunslinger/Dark Tower" series. Anymore, I mostly read nonfiction books. I have a huge occult library at home. I've read quite a bit from Crowley, Regardie, and the rest of the standard fare. However, because of my leanings, I prefer the writings of Stephen 'Edred' Flowers, Don Webb, and Michael Aquino. I also read tons of philosophy and history, as well as anything that I can learn something I previously did not know. For that reason, you may catch me at times with a book on physics or calculus or something of that nature. At various periods of my life I've been a huge fan of reading comic books. Go figure! Generally anything that has to do with the anti-hero archetype (Batman, Wolverine, Spiderman, Daredevil, Punisher, etc.)
My mother, Elaine Louise Bedinghaus. She loved her boys like no other, and she met her demise with more dignity and grace than I could ever hope to. Love you mom!
