About Me

Knowledge and imagination can, and will be, the means to liberate the world!

A new institution in a world of new schools, Grafton Primary stand behind their motto of “educate, innovate, liberate” – providing quality musical education where none exists, and strengthening ties between students and teachers, music lovers and music makers.

Starting work together in 2003, brothers Josh and Ben Garden discovered the perfect creative partnership, as their diverse influences, both musical and conceptual, found a natural home in the one project. More than anything, they shared the notion that there are no limits to the creative process, and that ideas are, by their nature, free-flowing.

Drawing on a wealth of musical knowledge from classical to new romance, synth-wave and electro, Grafton Primary craft tunes that are designed to score well on the test of time. Not modelled on any one era or any one sound, the duo reshape aspects of music itself into something at once familiar and wildly contemporary.

Having just completed recording tracks for their debut album, ’2020 Vision', GP are now finishing an EP to release as a taster of what’s to come. The EP follows the success of "Hidden Cycle", which was picked up by Triple J and stayed on rotation for 6 months and was also included on their annual compilation CD, "Home & Hosed".

Combining their recorded output with a series of powerful live shows, Grafton Primary prove they are one of the most innovative and exciting new acts to emerge on the scene over the last year.
