About Me

Hey everyone!!! I just want to say thank you so much for checking out my music page! honestly its people like you that make my day. let me know what you think.
I am 19 years old Im from a small town near the Twin City's called White Bear Lake Minnesota I have lived here my whole life and love calling it home. Many great bands and musicians have come out of Minnesota and someday I hope to be one of those sucesses!!
A little bit about myself-
I have always been involved in music ever since I could remember and love every style of music. In the year 2000 I picked up a guitar. I didn't really give it much time or effort and even wanted to give up a few times but never did. (SO IF YOUR A BEGINNER AND YOU FEEL LIKE GUITAR ISN'T FOR YOU.... THINK AGAIN BECAUSE IT'S AN AMAZING INSTRUMENT ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT) :) I am self taught and have never taken a guitar lessor nor a vocal lessor in my life but I plan on doing both sometime in the near future. I also dont know how to read music or Guitar Tab but plan on learning as well.
(All Music is Copywriten by the copywrite office) I love writing and recording my own material and hopefully get some time in a real studio someday. I mainly play rythum guitar and sing lead but I can play bass guitar, and keyboard as well.
In 2003 I started getting the hang of guitar!! I learned some chords and bought myself a Black Fender Acoustic Electric guitar. I recorded some of my ideas on Casset Tapes with a little crappy 4 track recorder :) The sound was terrible but it worked for me! and was all I could get my hands on at the time. I started to really get into recording and writing pretty fast. Though my ideas were very basic and boring they eventually became a little better with time.In 2004 My best friend at the time Ian Silk and I shared the same musical dreams and decided we would jam together. Ian plays the drums and is a hell of a drummer!!! We didn't write many official songs but made some great musical noise. I do recall we recorded one song called "We can all make it" which was a blend of mellow rock verses and a powerful and full of meaning chorus that stayed in your head for hours. Our style was great we had alot of fun and hopefully get to jam in the near future!!
In 2005 Myself and my great friend Joey Schumacher formed a band called Road Less Taken which was an alternative rock group. We wrote our own material and actually recorded a demo called "The Beginning". The Cd had 11 Tracks on it and is copywriten by the copyright office. Take Two, Falling Forward, Leaving For Healing, Nothing Compares, Decisions, Living A Dream, Wrong To Right, Clear, Final Goodbyes, What Happened Today, and Falling Into You, are the tracks on the Cd. Joey and I split the band up due to work, school and location differences but still are great friends. I hope to start a new band with Joey someday he is an EXCELLENT guitarist, drummer and musicial all around. He is currently playing drums in a band called Requiem's End and is playing venues around Minnesota.
In 2006 I organized a Studio Demo with 10 original songs on it two of which are on this page called "Without You" and "Close Your Eyes" also on the demo- "One Chance", "Falling", "Forever", "Deepwater", "Retrace" "What Was Thought", "Take A Shot", and "One Step Forward"
In May of 2007 I met musician Dan Amundsen at college registration and we shared the same passion for music, guitar, and overall musical style. Dan and I became roommates at The University Of Wisconsin River Falls in the middle of 1st semester. We started collaborating Ideas and produced many great ideas. Featured on this page are 3 songs which we wrote together. "Cold Tonight", "Hope", and "Far Away From Home". They were recorded on Dans Computer so the quality is pretty poor but it was what we had to work with at the time until we would be able make it to my studio to record the songs. On Cold Tonight- Dan is playing lead guitar. In "Hope" Dan is playing lead guitar and backup vocals on the chorus. In "Far Away From Home"- Dan is Part Lead Vocals and the Guitar Solo on the bridge towards the end of the song. We had alot of fun and were even asked to be on a featured artists compilation cd but turned it down due to expenses and a bit of a shady producer. We continued on playing for dorm neibors and friends.
Unfortunatly in May of 2008 we split our way due to differences. The music still lives on in my heart and I will never forget the great times we had. As for the music we wrote together. I hope both Dan and myself will carry the music to its highest potential wherever dan or myself go in the music world weather it's solo or band related, because the music we wrote is worth it and should live on reguardless to the split.
As of now- I am planning on putting a Cd out by late June with 10-12 tracks on it. I am in the process of recording it and with school ending I can get serious and get some real work done. I also will be playing music with several bands filling in vocals and harmony tracks, hopefully playing live, and writing more music.
Im hoping to get hooked up with some serious musicians and eventually form a band. So if you like what you hear and would like to jam it up drop me a comment or a message and we will see where that takes us. So for now I will continue writing and recording music on my own.
Once again thank you for checking out my music page! *God Bless*Let me know what you think!
