Rich answers diet questions
I made this layout with help from pYzam , Look at these other Layouts!
1) Were you educated beforehand about supplemental use and the physiological advances that can be seen with the use of such products? And if so, how did you accomplish this? Most of my education of supplements comes from articles I have read in journals or magazines, as well as word of mouth from my trainers and fellow training partners. Of course I consider my protein powder and BCAA's a part of my diet, and do not really count as supplements in my nutrition. With that said, I would only spend my money on creatine and nitric oxide. They both help with muscle regeneration as well as endurance.2) Were most of your increases seen in muscular strength? And if so, how long before you saw such increases? These supplements generally help you while you take them. Once you cease administration, the benefits cease as well. I use them primarily for fight preparation.3) I've read that creatine has been associated with increases in aerobic capacity advances as well...have you seen any gains in your aerobic performance, or do you take the supplements along with an aerobic training session? If creatine has helped my aerobic capacity, it has been at minimal levels when used by itself. However, in conjunction with Nitric Oxide, I definitely see the benefits.4) Do you take the reccommended amount of the product or more/less?I usually use the recommended dosage. I remember when creatine first exploded on the market, and everyone was talking about the "loading phase." I believed that is a bunch of horse crap to encourage the athlete to use the product at a more rapid pace.5) Do you think that you would be as peak of a fighter if you did not incorporate supplemental use into your training sessions?I believe that our increase in knowledge of nutrition can produce far superior athletes today than 50 years ago. However, these supplements will give you the extra edge to increase performance.6) Xyience is a fairly newer supplement as compared with others that have been around for a while...was there anything that appealed with this brand that you didn't find with others?Xyience prides themselves on the amount of research they do with their products. I believe they make a quality product, and I use them during my fight preparation. The NOX-CG3 was a God sent blessing. I had taken Creatine, Glutamine, and Nitric Oxide for several years...Xyience finally made a product that combined all 3 supplements in one formula.7) Can you share a meal plan or your shake? Here is the "basic" shake and meal plan...I use a protein powder called Ultimate Muscle Protein by Beverly
International (Cookies and Creme flavor). It is a good quality product
made here in Cincinnati.2 scoops of Beverly
1TBLSP Flaxseed Oil
1/2 banana
1/2 cup dry oatmeal
24 oz. waterYou obviously have to blend itA typical meal would be:
7 oz. ground beef (93% lean or better)
7 oz. broccoli
1/2 baked potatoOften times I put mustard on the ground beef and broccoli. Condiments are
usually not allowed, but mustard is okay to use.
