hmmm, lets see ... I love Music, tattoos, photography, my dogs (Italian Greyhounds), butterflies ... I collect shot glasses, I spend alot of time on the computer, I enjoy reading, being with my husband, and lots of other fun stuff ... and last but certainly not least, I love God! Without Him I would be nothing and have nothing!
Thought I'd get on the blinkie band wagon (a few of these I made myself) ...
"Sorry, I am just not taken anymore friendship applications right now ... Check back with me around the holidays, I might do some seasonal hiring. But I am all full right now, thanks" *hehe*
I heard some comedian say something like that once and I just thought it was funny *wink*
Really though, I only came here because a friend kept bugging me about getting on MySpace. But, now that I am here I may stick around so ....
I love music!! My husband and I have a pretty large music collection and there is still lots more I'd like to have. I like lots of different kinds of music, it all depends on my mood, but mostly Rock, Alternitive, Metal, etc ...
Some of my favorite bands are (in no specific order): Flyleaf, Thrice, Green Day, Johnny Cash, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Ozzy Osborne, Black Label Society, Fear Factory, Pantera, Stone Temple Pilots, Static-X, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, P.O.D, Pillar, Seven System, 12 Stones, Tool, A Perfect Circle, KMFDM, Type O Negative, Rammstein ... oh, I just like so much! I also like alot of the old 80's "hair bands" too, like Motley Crue and Guns and Roses just to name a couple!
I also like dance music like techno and electronica sometimes; like - Chemical Brothers, and Aphex Twin ... and every once in a while I will listen to some "hip hop" or R 'n' B on the radio if I am in that mood. And sometimes I find mild entertainment in some stuff by Eminem and Snoop Dog too. But I don't own any CD's of this kind of music. I am not generally a fan of rap or that "twangy" whinny, country music either ... just not my thing.
I like funny movies or a good drama or action movie, mysteries and/or thrillers are ok sometimes too, but I do not like horror movies, they give me nightmares.
Some of my favorite movies (in no specific order) are - "Saved" with Mandy Moore, saw that not too long ago and it was really good; "Stigmata" was an awesome movie! "The Matrix", (I liked all 3 but the first one was the best) all the "Star Trek -The Next Generation" movies were all real good, "Triple X" with Vin Diesel was great, all the "Terminator" movies were good, I enjoyed the more recent James Bond movies, with Pierce Bronson. "King Pin" with Woody Harrelson was great, hmmm, what else ... "There's Something About Mary" was great, most of the Farrelly brothers movies are great. All the "American Pie" movies were great and the "Scary Movie" parodies are great too! More recently I saw "The 40 year old virgin" that was so funny, as well as 'Waiting" that Dane Cook is a silly bitch ;-) ... The list could go on and on but this should give you an idea of the kinds of movies I enjoy.
I wouldn't say that I really watch a lot of TV but here are some TV shows I like to watch: *
I watch a lot of Comedy Central shows; like "South Park", "Insomniac with Dave Attell", "Chapelle's show", "Mind of Mencia", etc ...
Besides Comedy Central shows, I like to watch "Family Guy", "American Dad", "Futurama", "Tripping the rift" (I like the 'adult cartoons' *wink*) "Saturday Night Live" and "Mad TV". I am kinda hooked on "Desperate Housewives" too, but don't tell anyone ;-)
I also really enjoy the Sci-Fi series "Stargate -SG-1" and the spin-off series "Stargate Atlantis" The movie was great and the series is even better! If I had to list a favorite, I guess that would be it.
I also like the "Star Trek - The Next Generation" series re-runs and movies. I am not a major sci-fi geek, I don't like everything sci-fi, but I like those shows. I also like that new series on the Sci-Fi channel "Eureka"
Here are some of my favorites and/or latest books I've read:
* "The Bible", I have not memorized it by any means, but I have read through it a couple of times, I get something different out of it each time ... I need to read it more. I like The King James version and the Contemporary English version.
* "How Good Is Good Enough" - Andy Stanley, * "Messy Spirituality" - Mike Yaconelli, * "How Good Do We Have to Be" - Harold S. Kushner, * "Son Of A Preacher Man" - Jay Bakker.
I secretly enjoy some slightly "erotic" love stories from time to time.
I have also been known to read the occasional inspirational success story and/or "self help" book. "Think & Grow Rich" - by Napoleon Hill is one of my faves ... "The Little Engine That Could" is another good one, think about it ;-) "You'll See It When You Believe It" - by Wayne Dyer
And if you are an artist and/or creative minded person feeling blocked or in a rut, check out "The Artist's Way" - by Julia Cameron is a good read!
My husband is my hero ... and of course Jesus. Both are always there for me :)
