I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a 50 year old mother of six, stepmother of four, and grandmother of eleven. I've been working as a CNA for nearly 14 years. I like to do scrapbooking and journaling. I also like outdoor recreation such as camping and hiking. I try to keep in shape and do some running, entering about one 5K or 5 mile every year. In a few years I would like to do 1/2 a marathon. I'm on My Space because my son Philip showed it to me.

My Interests

My family and my religion are what interest me most. I am LDS and my family is my life. And my husband and I are enjoying all of our little grandchildren, as they keep coming.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Dolly Parton, cause she seems like a cool lady, real down to earth and nice. And I think we could have a real nice visit. I'll include one of her quotes, "The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain." I'd also like to once again see my Nanna Duncan, who passed away when I was only about 12-years old. Also, I'd like to meet my guardian angels, and Jesus Christ.

Music:

I like ALL KINDS of music so long as it has a good beat and good sound to it. I have a large collection of music. I like to sing too. Whether I'm performing in front of others, singing in church or just singing while I work, music can and should be uplifting to the soul.

Movies:

Anything that makes me feel good. Watching a really good movie is one of my favorite things to do.

Television:

I don't watch much television, but I love Extreme Makeover, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and things like So You Think You Can Dance, and American Idol. The Hallmark Channel is my favorite channel. I love to watch it with Bill. Also, if I had time, I'd watch House M.D. and Oprah. But, I don't have much time for television. In fact I hardly ever watch anything other than a movie now and then. I'm too busy living my own life.

Books:

I like Harry Potter, Danielle Steel books, books by Richard Paul Evans, James Michael Pratt, and Chris Heimerdinger. Also, I look for books that have the Covenant sign on them (written by LDS authors - like Anita Stansfield). I don't have much time to read. But I listen to books on tape or CD all the time.

Heroes:

All my wonderful teachers that have influenced my life for the good, my husband - Bill Stout, John Rand - a lifesaver through some real tough times, my guardian angels, President Hinckley, Joseph Smith, and last but certainly not the least, Jesus Christ.
