I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My passion is music. I've played guitar for over 20 years and singing for over 20 years now and in the past I've been the lead guitarist and vocalist in different bands ranging from alternative, Christian, goth (ambient and heavy), heavy metal, jazz/blues, punk, and progressive rock/metal. I like it heavy and I like it mellow, which brings me to where I am at now and that's playing in 3 different projects.
In Black June Revival I sing lead vocals and play lead guitar in this band. Donovan Wallace (Bass), and currently collaborating with Mike Hohmann on additional guitars and drum programs for recording to round out BJR. There's the good, the bad, and ugly and we write about it all. This is my baby.
In Matt Campbell's Acoustic Oxide I came to a point of writing so many acoustic songs that it began to saturate the BJR set list so this is why I started back to doing my acoustic project again. Joiing me in this project are Donovan Wallace (Bass)and Kyle Klingman (Drums). Think of it as Black June Revival Lite! Okay not funny, how about White December Demise? Music not comedy, I know.
In Soul Craft Black this is round two for me as lead vocalist. I'm rejoining Mario Kirk (Guitar) and Tracy Van Wyngaarden (Guitar)along with new members Mike Scott (Bass) and Matt Fite (Drums). We will see what we can come up with in Soul Craft Black Mark II.
Check them all out and let me know what you think.
On a personal level I just got out of a 6 year relationship in April. I am not actively in the dating scene so just friends are all I'm looking for and I'll let you know if I want or feel otherwise ;) (Refer to the "Things Women Should Know If They Are Interested In Me" section to the top left column.)This will proabably scare you away ;)
About my family, my parents have been happily married for 49 years and I have 2 sisters, 1 brother, 4 nephews, 5 nieces, and 3 grand nieces and 2 grand nephews, WOW! that makes me feel old.
My job and my music put me in the public eye 90% of my time but at heart I am a hermit and could probably spend the rest of my life in the mountains of Colorado alone and living off the land. How's that for a contradiction? My favorite season is the Fall, I love the Fall, especially Halloween.
There is a line Blind in Submission, from my song Take Me Home, which means in order to fully expirience the good things in life you have take risk and give yourself over to it and enjoy it. There is a dark side to life and a lighter side and I write about all of it. It's a balance you've acheived if you can learn from it all.
This is myspace and I welcome you to it! BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, ME, ME, ME...
