Biography:

In early 2001, four talented and determined musicians in Raleigh , NC came together seeking to create a compelling new sound that would appeal to a growing fan base in the rock music scene. In the beginning there were only three.

With Sean Custer on Guitar, Anthony Tran playing bass, and Doug Pender on drums, a powerful lead vocalist was still needed to complete the band. The three had previously performed together, but it wasn't until Max Winters joined them to play a few songs that they discovered his incredible singing and song writing abilities. Max was always known for playing guitar, but his amazing vocal range, tone, and strength still came as a surprise. They instantly knew that Max's natural talent could complete the Good Samaritan sound.

Currently Good Samaritan performs over 30 unique originals at live music venues in Raleigh and the surrounding area, and enjoys covering a variety of songs from bands such as Audioslave, STP, Alice in Chains, Sound Garden , and more. The influences from these bands have allowed Good Samaritan to craft their own distinctive sound, while maintaining all the characteristics of excellent rock music. With over 20 years of combined experience and ability, their dedication to music and their band shows in every performance. They are the ideal choice for any music venue that calls for a high energy show that would appeal to any listener.

Discography:

With consistent devotion to their music, these originals bring out the best of the Good Samaritan sound. From hard rock to smooth melodies, they have created a sound that spans over many different genres of music. They are constantly creating new songs, while keeping their older songs alive through regular practice and performance. Creating an average of one to two songs per month, the band quickly developed their unique sound and continued to produce better songs with deeper meaning as the band grew together.
