Sydewayz Soundz came about in the 90's from a rap group named simply "Sydewayz". It consisted of Pierre "P.La" Carrillo & Rich "Young Santo" Carrillo. We were from La Junta, Colorado and started doing our thang in 1996. We did a number of shows through out Colorado, mainly in Pueblo opening for the likes of Kid Frost, Lighter Shade of Brown, Nasty Boy Klick (Now NB Ridaz) N2Deep, Latino Velvet (Jay Tee & Baby Bash), Bone Thugs, among others. The group disbanded in 1999 when Rich decided to join the military. From there P. La continued to produce records for himself and other local artists, evening collabing with Baby Bash on a couple of records.P. La started his music career in 6th grade as a DJ and continued Djing until 2005. In high school, He got into production and began writing and making his own music. He continued through out his college career, making music, and involving himself in every aspect of music posible to him at that time. He worked as a Club DJ (Peppers-Pueblo, CO) and a radio DJ (REV 89-Pueblo, CO) until he graduated with a BA in Mass Comm in 2003. While living in Pueblo, he met Mark, Charlie, and Ty Duggan, a group of 3 brothers who would be later knows as "Top Shelf." He has continued to produce records for the brothers and are about to release their 1st full length album sometime this summer as a group. We'll keep you posted on the exact release date.P.La continues to produce records for Top Shelf among others such as Moy & Pelon, R Dub, Atak 1, SAK, and other artists. He currently lives in the"303" AKA the "5280" AKA "The Mile High" for you squares.So,with all that said...check out the records posted on this my space account, get back at ya nigga and let him know what u think.
