Extended Banner Editor MySpace Editor MySpace Layouts Glitter Graphics MySpaceAllta was formed in late 2004 when André Teixeira (gtr) and João Arroja (gtr) decided to create a band including their main influences: Metal (Trash, Death), Rock, Hardcore etc... They began making new riffs and naturally the will and need to play with a drummer appeared. They invited David Tavares (drm) to join them, who willingly accepted. The band now had the minimum necessary to begin rehearsals, which began in Alfragide, Lisbon in a small garage, the same spot where writing and recording took place. Marinho helped us with that. So... the basic was there, the songs, the will and guts to make it happen. In middle 2005 João Gonçalves (bss) joined the band fulfilling an important void in the whole sound, the bass. Allta is still searching for a front man. A few auditions took place but unfortunately they have yet to find the man with the right mood. In this demo it was Andrés vocals who filled the part. At the moment they are working alongside Daniel Faustino, towards uniting his voice with the bands sound, and things are running smoothly. - We hope youre the one, man! Well, thats pretty much it for a band (like this) biography. There is nothing left to say that matters. Hope to see you soon on our first gig. We are back again! João Arroja was lost in Germany for a while, but he managed to find a boat and sail back to Portugal! :P (Seriously though, he was on the Erasmus Student Exchange Program). By the way, check out the pictures he brought back of him with the guys from The Haunted! Unfortunately, not everything is good news. João Gonçalves has left the band and for the moment we haven't got a bass player. We're searching for the right person for the job. Bad news and good news: After experiencing some personal divergencies with David Tavares (drums), we've decided that, in spite of being a great musician, David and the band should follow their own separate paths from now on. Nonetheless we wish him best regards and good luck. The good news are: We have a new bass player, Nuno Silva and we’ve been working alongside a new drummer as well, Paulo Lafaia (Painstruck, More Than Hate, Devil In Me) to put things back on track and develop a stronger workgroup. We've also been selected to participate in a contest called “11º Concurso de Música Moderna” to be carried out near the train station (Fertagus/CP), in Pinhal Novo on the 27th of November. Well… it's been a weird couple of months but every band has those types of phases and we hope that everything will (finally) work out. O vocalista dos Allta, Daniel Faustino viu-se obrigado a sair da banda por motivos pessoais. Felizmente houve alguém com a coragem suficiente (como o Paulo já tinha feito no concerto no Pinhal Novo) de enfrentar um público novo, tanto para os Allta como para o próprio num concerto de alguma responsabilidade com Shadowsphere e More Than Hate, na tour de SickSyco. O Autor dessa proeza foi o Cristiano (Demonocracy), a quem desde já agradecemos publicamente, como já o fizemos pessoalmente pelos c*****s, vontade, dedicação e boa disposição que provou ter. Ao Daniel desejamos a melhor sorte e um enorme OBRIGADO! Força para resolveres o que tenhas de resolver. Apesar de tudo continuamos por cá a gravar coisas novas e a preparar novos concertos para quem nos quiser ouvir, o resto... é bonecos. André, Allta. (14/03/2007)
