4th Annual 24 Hour Video Race Friday, February 6, 2009
Participating teams will gather at 12:00 midnight on the evening of Friday, February 6, 2009 to kick off our 4th Annual 24 Hour Video Race. Teams will have 24 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short video which must be returned to Living Arts (308 S. Kenosha Ave in Tulsa) or IAO Gallery (811 N. Broadway in Oklahoma City) by midnight on Saturday, February 7.
The videos must be shorter than 5 minutes and relate to a surprise theme that will be revealed to participants on the night of the competition. Teams may include up to 8 members and must compete in one of the following categories:
- 18 and under student
- College student
- Video-Phil (nonstudent 19and over)
- Animation -Experimental
Entries will be screened on Thursday, February 19 at Philbrook Museum of Art (2727 South Rockford Road in Tulsa). A panel of judges will select winners from each category of participants. These winning videos will be screened at the 16th Annual New Genre Festival’s Video Matinee, to be held at Circle Cinema in Tulsa. They will also be shown at IAO gallery and the deadCENTER Film Fest.
In addition to bragging rights, the top placing teams will win cash prizes. All teams must provide their own equipment and all submissions must be received in DVD or VHS format. Entries submitted after the deadline may be screened but will not be eligible to win.

In addition to screening the Judges' Choice Video at the annual deadCENTER Film Festival, deadCENTER is sending a representative to serve as a judge at the screening and they will be on hand to promote deadCENTER opportunities.
