JORDAN CHASSAN

About Me

Though he has been based in Nashville for the past decade, singer/songwriter and guitarist Jordan Chassan actually got his start as a songwriter and bandleader in the New York underground movement of the 70s, with a critically acclaimed performance of his song "Everybody's Depraved" on the seminal Atlantic Records compilation album Live at CBGB. Some years later he signed in New York with Polydor Records. His stripped down acoustic debut solo album was recorded live in the studio direct to stereo, with arrangements that featured his vocals and unique finger style acoustic guitar along with upright bass and brushed drums accompaniment. His newest album East of Bristol, West of Knoxville J has prompted critics like Jim Fusilli of The Wall Street Journal to exclaim that "the world might be a better place if everyone listened to East of Bristol, West of Knoxville at least once a day." So let's get right on that! Profile edited with: CricketSoda Myspace Profile Editor
