He is also a member of the multi-genre band D.E.F. and a budding guitarist and singer. He is currently a sophomore at Columbia College Chicago majoring in Audio Arts & Acoustics.
Nate Marshall (Illuminate Mics) is an 18 year-old MC and poet from the Wild Hundreds section of the South Side of Chicago. From the age of 13, Marshall has been writing and rapping. Daily Lyrical Product has been a group since 2006. In that time they have made an indelible mark on the Chicago Hip-Hop scene. There projects, The Product (2006) and Jus Ill (2007), have been independently released and well-received. The duo hosted a youth open mic at The Spoken Word Café for a year and a half. They have performed around the city and region at various venues including: The Elastic Art Gallery, The University of Hip-Hop, The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Soldier Field, and many others. The group is a founding component of the hip-hop collective, The Open Mic Crusher Collective (OMCsquared). OMCsquared is dedicated to the preservation and advancement of hip-hop music and culture. Daily Lyrical Product is currently working quietly but steadily toward their third release.
