Miami Herald, 8/26/05The DJ duo, Parantula is one of Miamis hottest up and coming talent having quickly garnered praise and respect from both their peers and the partiers they play to on a weekly basis. The have been making waves in Miami, playing to huge crowds of locals and tourists that gather every week to experience a journey through the best and latest of high energy house music.Introduced in late 2003, Qba and Andrew Satz, known collectively as Parantula, immediately began working together, fusing their complementary artistic and technical talents. Their fan base is relentlessly expanding, causing them to be ranked as one of the top 20 DJs of Miami on thedjlist.com. They have shared the decks with talented artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Victor Calderone, Ivano Bellini, Cedric Gervais, Armand Pena, Willie Morales, and Patrick M and were recently thanked by Oscar G in his latest cd, Made in Miami. The duo currently holds residencies at Space (Miami) and The Pawn Shop, headlined the Eco Village stage at Ultra Music Festival 7 on March 26,2005, held residency at some of Miamis best clubs including Crobar,Nikki Beach,Nocturnal & Oxygen Lounge and have done guest appearances at Mansion, Amika, Opium Garden, Cafeteria, and Voodoo Lounge just to name a few. They have also been tapped as the Official DJ for Sunglass Hut and were recently flown to Las Vegas to perform for their Fall Show.Parantula stands apart from much of the talent in Miami due to their ability to take their listeners on a voyage through the diverse sounds of house music. They play on the sands of the beach every week from noon until dusk and use this unique opportunity to take their crowd on a journey, starting off with light sounds as the day begins and turning up the energy as the night approaches. By utilizing this beautiful locale and combining it with their exceptional ability to move from an atmosphere of relaxation to one filled with energy, its no wonder they have built the following that they have.Their first demo mix, Blue Sky, which is a tour of vocal house, has received rave reviews from their legions of fans, while their last demo, Nikki Beach Night Sessions Vol.1 & Vol.2, truly shows their diversity and has received the same accolades. As a sign of respect from their fans and due to their rise in local fame the have been compared to another great duo, and therefore have been dubbed the Deep Dish of Miami.
