About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorI’m Lizzie :D
Erm… there’s not a huge amount to say really.
I’m about as rock’n’roll as a cushion. I used to like to think I was just too nice to be cool, but then I thought ‘Hang on a sec. You drink cocoa in the evening. You live off bikkits and small iced cakes. You own a dressing gown, which you wear quite often. Your hair went an unnerving shade of yellow when you tried to bleach it. You wear comfortable cardigans in a non-ironic way. You listen to folk music. You are about as far away from ‘cool’ as you can get. And really, who gives a shit?’ And life is better this way. I like indiepop and cupcakes and jangly guitars and cardigans and fruit tea and badges and daisy chains and small floral patterns and things which taste blue and Polaroids and cider and pop art and glass beads and pick&mix and pretty things and badly-shot Super 8 films and the sea and ballet pumps and Marmite and my iPod and Primark and pointless ‘adventures’ and pillows and daydreaming and really long lists. I’d take real bikkits over disco biscuits any day. I am physically unable to get up early, except when I really don’t need to. I play keyboard and ukulele. I make necklaces out of buttons. I live in Hastings, the arse end of the universe. I like b-sides and acoustic cover versions. I get distracted by shiny objects. I use capital letters erratically. I like this face :D. I write films and stories and ramblings. I think Oscar Wilde is (was) a genius. I am happiest in summer, having picnics in fields or on the beach and making shapes out of clouds. I like obscure words and films and music. I quote song lyrics far too often. I’m not anti-mainstream, I just don’t like what’s mainstream right now. I quite liked Arctic Monkeys’ first album though. I make pop culture references which nobody understands. I am very protective of my hair, go anywhere near it without my permission and I’m quite likely to bite your hand off. I spend my afternoons browsing through charity shops and second-hand book shops and old record shops (or I would if there were any in this godforsaken town). I like most things, except the Daily Mail, George Bush, rain, Leona Fucking Lewis, football, prejudice, chopping up onions, and heavy metal. I get annoyed at scenesters who like the things I like, because then people I'm (shock horror) one of Them. I stay up for days on end for no reason. I probably wear too much eyeliner. I’m a pacifist, and as left-wing as you can get without being in danger of coming back round the other side. I read incessantly. I like talking to interesting people :D
