About Me

My name is Roya which means dream in the Persian language. Whether that name is fitting is up to you to decide haha.I am currently a student at Christopher Newport University majoring in History and minoring in Government and no I'm not going to be a teacher! I really have no clue what I'm going to do yet. I love writing so maybe being a writer or a journalist is in the works who knows. I am pretty opinionated so being a politician is OUT (i'm not about to stifle my own beliefs for what is popular or electable) but maybe working for a cause I believe in, such as animal rights would be a great place for using my politcal/government background.I love hanging out with my German Shepherd, Gunner who I saved from the Portsmouth Humane Society. I am huge into animal rights so if you have sympathy for Michael Vick we should not be talking.

My Interests

I love to unwind and get cozy with my puppy while watching a good movie. My favorite word is Platypus and my favorite food is chocolate. I DONT support Pepsi drinkers. I am pro-Coca Cola. In those surveys they always ask you what kind of ice cream you like which is supposed to symbolize your personality...my favorite is chocolate read into it what you wish(to be specific baskin robbins gold medal ribbon and mint chocolate chip). I also enjoy paintballing and I will be the first to admit I am not a good paintballer but if nothing else I have guts and I'm not afraid to get shot, which is good since I get shot often haha.

I'd like to meet:

Politicans: Bill Clinton because to me, he is one of the greatest presidents this country has ever had. Thomas Jefferson, my great, great, great, lot of greats grandpa because I believe he was so far ahead of his time.Actors/resses: Sarah Jessica Parker, Christian Bale(so we can finally get married and live happily ever after haha), and Johnny Depp-mostly because he is an amazing actor and just seems like such a quirky and cool person (but partly because he is phenominally good looking)Musicians: Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Frank Sinatra side note: Anyone seen that V-8 commercial where they bop someone in the head for eating junk food and not a V-8...I want to meet Britney Spears and do that same thing---What is she thinking?!View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

My ipod is like an exclusive club, I have to love a song to put it on my ipod...but I dont discriminate, rap, country, rock, classic rock, oldies, whatever. I wont spend $0.99 on any ol'itunes song.

Movies:

Books:

I could sit here and list off all of the classic novels I have ever read to sound intelligent but I really have no desire to be pretentious (see I am smart I use big words haha)

Heroes:

My Dad...he is the strongest and smartest person I know (my dad can beat up your dad haha) My Mom...she is always full of good advice, I often find myself kicking myself for not listening to her My Brother...that kid is just plain cool, end of discussion My Best Friend, Kati...no matter what she always has a geniune smile on her face. She is a true friend
