About Me

..
By Strangulation started back in February 2003 with Jake(Fragile Little Minds, ...13 Pills) and Bill(Friction Point) throwing together 8 minute seemingly endless, poorly structured, generic death metal orchestrations once a week in Jakes basement. After going through countless band members and a weak practice schedule, the project never did anything. Lee (Haruspex, One Body Too Many) joined in '05 and so began the reevaluating, restructuring, breaking down, and rewriting of the songs into what they have become. Sexy Mike(Larry the Looter) joined in winter '05 and gave the songs a huge kick in the ass harmonizing, squeeling, and dive bombing through the set. Manny(The Surreal System, An Eternal Farewell) picked up quickly in March '07 and threw down the low end rumble to make the band complete finally. Lots of new material will be written in 2007 and a full length should be available in 2008. Tshirts by April. Looking forward to doing shows and partyin' with all you fucks for the 2008. Don't use the handsoap.

Influences: Dying Fetus, Converge, Broken Hope, Between the Buried and Me, Soilent Green, Burnt by the Sun, A Life Once Lost, Morta Skuld, Haruspex, Cyanosis, Rotted, Dr. Shrinker, and the rest of the 90's Milwaukee death metal scene.
Sounds Like: a deft fusion of artistry and ferocity with a combination of death metal, grind, hardcore, post-punk pummel, ass swingin' grooves, and raw, unrelenting power. Never falling into the new school metal core trends, pissing their contributions in the face of Milwaukee's metal scene. This is some rip your face off, down and dirty metal shit right here; you know how we do.

searching for vocalist/ practice space

We're searching for a vocalist with a tone similar to that of Gorguts, Broken Hope, Malevolent Creation, etc. Any bands needing a band to share space with, we are searching.
