THE NOT SO GOOD OL' BOYS

THE ULTIMATE NORTHERN ROCK EXPERIENCE

About Me

The roots of the Not So Good Ol.. Boys run deep in the classic sound of southern rock and outlaw country. Influences of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Willie, Waylon, and David Allen Coe among many others are clearly evident. Alt rock or Americana has been used to describe the blend of country and rock but those labels shouldn't apply here. We prefer the term Northern Rock. The band was formed in early 2005 and have done a week at the House of Blues in Cleveland and have shared the stage with such acts as Ian Gillan, David Allen Coe, Deadboy and the Elephantmen etc. but with this group of seasoned musicians you would swear there are many more years behind the songs. Musically, the sound of the Not So Good Ol.. Boys are filled with guitar licks, dual leads, weeping slide, thumping bass, solid drums, and strong, well written songs. Lyrically, the words are all about heartbreak, cheating, drinking, dying, prison etc..all true stories of life and death. Vocally, the message is delivered with honesty and sincerity from a unique voice of a modern day American workin man. Get this FREE MySpace layout and more at MySpaceOrYours.net
