I love to start the day with a the sunshine and end it with a beautiful sunrise...Especially sitting on the roof in Iraq and watchong the sunrise or set. It's even better when your on the roof at night just staring off in to the darkness with so many smally flickering stars...which always made me feel closer to home.
Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.
I listen to everything and I mean the stuff that your parents parents used to listen to...right now I'm stuck on Killswitch Engage "End of Heartbreak" the song is fucking sweet (Chris Peer I could still hear your drums in the barracks)

Hero?? I would have to say my Great Uncle Frank Martinez, Marine Corps vietran. My Great Uncle Frank and his twin brother Lester, who died in the battle of Tarawa. Uncle Frank still is alive and still motivated and loves the Marine Corps. For being a man of 83 of age still in love with the military and has nothing but Marine Corps stickers and anything that can be put on or in a car, he motivates me and makes me proud to be a Marine. For those serving in Iraq for 6-7 months to a year at a time...come home safe!! I miss my friends who I served out there with me...
