Sad, but true, I enjoy laughing at people. It has always been funny to just sit back, observe, and damn right laugh at folks. I enjoy listening to people sing and recite poetry. Movies, more so plays, and visiting different cities. I enjoy writing of course, but not just about anything, about music and anything related to it.img src="http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t320/urnicca/001-3.j pg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at

There will never be a day that goes by that I don't think of him.I miss him so much it's ridculous. But God had something better for him than this world could offer. I wrote this about two months ago and it was published in a local magazine in the Jacksonville! -Have you ever meet anyone with the passion to make the life for everyone around them better than the life that they are living for themselves? Well, I have, my brother Marcel J. Perry. It's amazing how the Lord anoints people to come in your life for just a short time - but if you hear it from me it seemed like a life time - just to show you what it is like to fulfill the joys of life. Marcel bka Cel was like most young African-American males growing up, a musician. But the only difference between Cel and these other cats on the block was his realness. Music ran through Cel's blood 24/7 none stop. His fingers were his drums, his ears his voice and his eyes were his inspiration. I can remember waking up to that illustrious sound, from the band he played where his father was pastor, The United House of Prayer for All People, that Cel would imitate by using his mouth. He would do it so much that eventually I started to nod my head every time I heard the music. I never seen any one so hyped about going to church on Sunday morning but because he was, I automatically had to step my game up and be happy too! (Although we had gotten no sleep the night before) I can only speak for myself but the best part of the service was when my brothers Cel and Wayne would sweat there all white collar shirts out from praising God with there instruments like our savior , Jesus, had come back over and over again every Sunday. They would tap there feet and turn in circles for at least 45 minutes straight. But it was nothing more exciting than to see, Dad, Wayne Perry Sr. step down from the pulpit, take off his coat and get in line with the boys. You can call that magic. Although, there were 20 or more people playing instruments, Cel's Baritone had a distinct sound that made you listen. He was thee best Baritone, not only to me, but it was fact throughout the affiliated House of Prayer bands and congregations. Sandalwood High school better know as "The Wood" was the place where Cel, the Brooklyn native but raised in Macon, began his quest to bring life to his most known talent, dancing. Although, he participated in several school activities such as gospel choir (in which he meet one of his best friends, Warren Monroe) where he played the keyboard and any instrument he could get his hands on, his peers knew him best for his robotic arms and the joint-less movements he made with his legs, better known as Woopin. Before, during and after school you could find a crowd formed into a circle chanting Woop, Woop, Woop, amping armatures up to dance against some of the best, including Cel. If you couldn't dance or rank at "The Wood" then you were classified lame with a capital L. In Cel's last months he and his brother Warren aka "Money Roe" and his close friend Anthony Walker aka "G-Po" started a production company and rap group by the name of the "Da Hook Boyz." The group was constantly on the grind to promote there music anyway necessary. The group still continues to work towards there goals and will always keep Cel in the mist of the music. On Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 Cel's brother Wayne informed him that his extended family member and music partner Marcus had come in town from Augusta, who Cel used to live with in Macon. Cel was excited because he had not seen Marcus in such a long time. Later that evening Marcus picked up Cel and they began riding around Jacksonville listening to some new beats Cel had created. During there outing Cel received a call from his homeboy which lead them to the Roxy, a teen club on Beach Blvd., so that Cel could allow them to check out his new demo. When they arrived to the Roxy, the parking lot was full so they had no choice but to park across the street from the club. While walking across the second half of Beach Blvd, Cel was hit by a passing vehicle resulting in his death in the early morning of Nov. 19, 2005. Cel's motivation was his family and his inspiration was his music. There are no words that could ever describe the dedication and persistence he obtained and shared while on earth. His concern wasn't himself but others through his music. He touched one person at a time through his funny personality and his eccentric beats. Cel would say to me, "Juice, you aight? Aight!" just to make sure I knew he loved me. So I say to you my brother "Cel, you aight? Aight"!
