Like a fine red wine. None are born with a taste for it, and many never acquire one. Appears pretentious and inaccessible due to foreign-language label but is less cryptic upon closer inspection. Improved if left to breathe and adjust to the atmosphere. Can be enjoyed by many but best appreciated by those with an interest in the field. Has a complex palate but made from simple ingredients. Compare to, say, Blossom Hill Merlot, which has easy-drinking flavour but causes thumping hangovers due to deceptive cocktail of chemical preservatives, colouring, and flavour enhancers. Matures well. First mouthful a tad unsettling, but tastes better with every glass. Do not be put off by austere bottle: is less expensive than it may initially appear.
