About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
This band started at the end of the era of Perpetual Doom. When Steve, Ken, and Billy decided to start a new band to make the change with the new era of music upon them... With the likes of Korn, Deftones, Rage against the Machine and so forth. They happen to stumble across Kyle Small at the infamous Denny's one late night. When Kyle's girlfriend at the time overheard the guys talking about finding a singer and she approched the guys and said my boyfriends a singer. So a few days later Kyle shows up to a rehearsal and he was in. The guys liked what they heard. After a couple of months the band headed over to Zing studios and recorded about 5 songs. The band continued to play shows for about two years playing at clubs like Pearl Street, Flat Street, T.J.'s in downtown Springfield and so on. Soon afterwards the band felt nothing was being accomplished, and to their recommendation from Mr. Scott "Ogre" Lee to start a Korn cover band the guys sat on the idea for about a year. Steve really did not like the idea of playing covers so he was out after about six moths of doing nothing. The guys had guitarist Joe. C. enter the band as a second guitarist and also tried out numerous drummers before finding Kurt Schon. After their first show the band was playing a show in Worcester Mass at the Lucky Dog. About half way through the set none other than Jonathan, Munky and Fieldy come through the door to only jump onstage and jam out "Got the Life". Which in turn started a media frenzy! after abotu a year of riding the wave of the Korn cover coat tail. The band decided it was time to start writing orginals. Hence Split Shift. To this day the guys are going strong with the release of the second studio album 13 coming out in early spring 2006.
