About Me

Profile comes without bar code, you'll have to read this one ;)
First off, if you vote Repub/Libertarian, don't vote, or can't make up your mind, GO AWAY (like, go to TX to live the Bush life...just watch out for your buddies with shotguns ;). I'm not interested...unless you are really hot and *want* me. ;)
Second, do NOT send me Friend Requests without an email explaining why you're interested . I'll just assume it's spam like the rest of them. Or that you're lazy. Either way, I'll delete it.
For the rest of you, despite the above vitriol, I'm actually a kind single, unattached, creative/intellectual type (ENTP if you go for that sort of thing, with I and J leanings), smart, real, honest, communicative, psychologically aware, progressive, sexy, sensual, athletic, young in body & mind, looking for a LTR through dating, but open to lovers and friends, as chemistry dictates. Spent far too much time sleeping solo in this life for the snuggler that I am.
Creative & intellectual. Lifelong performing artist: musician, rhythm tap dancer, educated as theater director. Naturally athletic; besides base/foot/basket-ball, I've enjoyed gymnastics, tennis, golf, the Brazilian martial art Capoeira, and most recently am in love with soccer.
Know my baggage and won't project it on you (and expect the same back). Volunteered around the clock on the Matt Gonzalez (Green Party underdog) 2003 SF mayoral campaign (we barely lost, quite a feat). Currently working as membership co-ordinator at a marine eco-nonprofit, but it's turned out to be a deadend job (more office manager than anything else), so I'm seeking elsewhere in the nonprofit world...likely some communications position that utilizes my tech expertise as well.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd love to find fun romance, TLC with the right grrl, beauties of all ages welcome, though LTR is most likely with someone younger who, like me, is working on career & towards a family. Regarding my kids preference- 3 in an ideal world; however, need to find the grrl first, then see where it goes from there; moms welcome. SF Bay local nonsmokers please (I live Berkeley, work Marin).

I hit it off best with vibrant women who are highly intelligent, politically progressive, direct, flirty, warm, unaffected, and affectionate. Ex-pat East coasters and Chicagoans, and fallen Catholics welcome. :) Internationals too (Brits, Aussies, Canucks, Kiwis, et al). Closeminded need not apply; the people I enjoy hanging with are not phobic about race, ethnicity, or sexuality, aren't fans of evil Bush and Co, nor are they rigidly PC. Maybe you have passionate interests, or exceptional creative or intellectual talent. I have a strong, unique vision, it be great to be with someone who could appreciate that, & perhaps have her own.

Physical chemistry matters (to me). Vive la difference! I prefer curves to androgyny (busty is great, though not necessary), *healthy weight* (not skinny, not BBW; I'm no weight fascist, but prefer ht/wt proportionate + or - a few lbs; I'm + a few myself). Sexual/sensual attraction/compatability are essential, I need to be with someone equally enthusiastic. Bi or straight, sex positive, aware, open/openminded, uninhibited, playful, explorative. Enjoys slow sensuality & endless cuddling (though hot sweaty animal sex has its place :) I prefer sex w/love/intimacy, but prefer not to be celibate between LTRs (nothing unsafe). If my openess offends and you can't tell the difference between a sex positive man and a manipulative playuh, we wouldn't be a fit in any case.

I like to do the usual; finding something to do is easy; finding attractive compatible women to do it with is hard. I tend to enjoy simple pleasures more than big ticket items; cozy evenings with you or with friends, walks, sharing meals almost always interest me more than a night on the town.

I've no interest in regular penpals, hours of emailing/phoning, etc. Looking for locals to meet for drink/coffee/bite, and take it from there. And despite appearances to the contrary, I do have a sense of humor. ;-] . Write for a link to my vanity site and blog.

Books:

First off, if you liked The Davinci Code, we have a *totally* incompatible senses of aesthetics. Man, I like good pulp (Alias, Men In Black), but this is stunningly awful plodding writing, truly painful to read.

Recent reads:

Tipping Point, Blink, both excellent

Design of Everyday Things

A book on writing romantic comedy.

Thought Dreams by Michael Albert. Great book on constructing a new progressive political theory, avoiding the pitfalls of Marxism, feminism, anarchism, and the various nationalisms.

Old favorites:

The Cocktail Party

Alice in Wonderland books

The Clown

Ridley Walker

Shakespeare

Pursuit of Loneliness

Drama of the Gifted Child
