From the plains of Alberta finally comes the self-titled debut album from Dead Mans Train six years in the making! Featuring 12 songs written by metal legend Hart Bachmier of Disciples Of Power , DMT isnt just a sideband for the lyricist, it is a whole new hard-rock project for the singer/guitarist who also sings for Black Sabbath/Ozzy tribute band Wicked World! The band is completed by bassist J. Campbell, and drummer Dean Relf (War March) who has drummed for Disciples Of Power since 1987. The artwork for Dead Mans Train was done by Tsanger Banger. Also available for download at are Disciples Of Powers current five albums and sample song listening at MySpace.com/DisciplesOfPower for DOP as well.
With songs originally written in 1999 and 2000, pre-production was engineered by Disciples Of Power guitarist Wes Sontag ( Section VIII ) at his own studio Westudios. New additional songs were written later for the DMT debut and engineered by prolific rock producer and musician Ron Chenier ( Fist ) at Plumb Studios. The bands first release is available for download at iTUNES as hi-quality AAC format and atPuretracks.com (within Canada) as WMA format, either as individual songs or full album. Dead Mans Train have been compared to Monster Magnet and Black Sabbath circa 1977 - they may hail from the same region as Nickelback, new upcommers Social Code, alt-country pioneers Jr Gone Wild, but Dead Mans Train were here before and are still here now!
