Bob Monteleone has been performing full time for years in many different situations. He's played in many states and countries with longtime reggae group Black Market. Black Market is in the Metro Times Music Awards Hall of Fame and Bob has played on 4 or 5 of their CD's/LP's including 1996's "Live In Jamaica".
An offshoot of Black Market is the band Raggamuffin, which features other Black Market alumni Mitch Purdy (drums) and James Megerian (bass). Raggamuffin currently plays at venues like Muldoons and the Hamlin Pubs and has a live album in the works.
Bob also plays with Dave Edwards and The Look. Dave, Bob and the fellas have performed in the last year at concert venues like the Emerald Theater and Freedom Hill as well as clubs like Edisons in Birmingham. Bob produced most of Dave's debut solo CD "Take Another Look" (2004), which has the distinction of having all 12 cuts played on various commercial Detroit radio stations, most prominently on Pam Rossi's "Over Easy" & Steve Kostan's "Michigan Mondays" on WCSX/94.7FM.
The Ken & Bob Show features Bob with talented singer/strummer Ken McCauley. They play at various venues but have currently been gigging for over 3 years every Wednseday at the Hamlin Pub in Rochester. They are fearless and between the two of them will attempt almost any song.
A lot of the gigs listed here are solo shows with just Bob & his trusty Seagull or Taylor acoustic guitar. As much as he loves the give & take of other musicians, playing solo gives Bob the freedom to take off in any direction, any time. He's more likely to play more Neil Young, Radiohead and other personal favorites (as well as original songs) than at his duo or band gigs. He's also more able to try an audience member's request and more than happy to do so.
