About Me

N.B: More people should write in the third person. * Sharif is someone who finds it difficult to stay in the same place for too long, be it socially, professionally or mentally. What might have been seen by some as an unsteady approach to life only gave him more focus and relish in the knowledge that he knew exactly where he was going in life and how he was to go about it. The inability to stay put has helped bring his many ambitions and dreams to fruition over the past few years. * He had discovered from a young age that things were not what they appeared to be at first glance. Naturally inquisitive from the moment words started being spoken by him, there was never anything that seemed off-limits to Sharif's curiousity and this had changed his life entirely. Always being one who did not settle for the humdrum or the ordinary, he was constantly looking for innovative ways to keep himself and his imagination occupied until he was able to finally make a break for himself. * Leaving behind all he had once thought kept him grounded in his home town of Luton, in September of 2006 London gained yet another young man keen to follow his true path in the big smoke. * His hometown of Luton had previously 'won' the title of UK's Crappest Town but in it's defense Sharif felt it only right to have the following extract posted from The Guardian, September 2004 when the survey results were first anounced: "What this week's survey most starkly reveals is not how crap Luton is but the festering self-hatred of those who continue to live in crap towns leading crap lives that they wish they could escape. In their fury at the mediocrity of their own lives, they rush to blame the place they come from. There is no shame in coming from a crap town; the real crime is to remain there." Even God could not have said it better! Amen! * While Sharif's definition of happiness and success is still just a glimmer on the horizon he knows that he is still growing as a man, a son, a brother, an uncle, a boyfriend, a friend, a writer and as a human being - everyday brings yet another experience and situation that inspires and educates him. * Sharif can now usually be found sipping on cheap cocktails and Red Stripe, throwing shapes to cheap pop music under the guise of inebriation in and around Soho. He enjoys walking along the River Thames listening to music on his MP3 player whilst trying not to get startled by the erratic flying habits of pigeons. He has also been known to saunter around Canary Wharf ogling hot men in sharp suits , he ensures us that this is purely for research purposes only - bollocks.
