About Me

I love to travel, and see new places. This world is to big to waste it in our own little corner. The more you travel the more your eyes open to life. My piggy bank gets fed all the time, and when I have enough money I pack my bags and go. No tour groups! Make mistakes on your own, and have great stories to remember. I like the lessons that I learn from other people. Its humbling to see someone who has so little, offer you a little of what they have. I laugh at myself quite a bit, cuz if you cant laugh at yourself, you are not allowed to laugh at others. I fell one day in my church clothes, and I just lay there laughing at how silly I must have looked. I like the outdoors, the solitude of hiking up a mountain, and of course the paranoia that comes with every rustling bush only to find a squirrel. Rotten creatures! Scared me to death! Lets see what else, I like to try new things. Like I tried to snowboard! The bunny slope and I were not friends, Ima stick to skiing. I love love playing raquet ball. Im not great at it, but I can hold my own. I really enjoy spending time with my friends, even the difficult ones. Variety is the spice of life, and I have a kitchen full. I believe in the quality of friends, not the quantity. Ohh, and I love just getting in my car and driving for hours alone. To be with my thoughts. Im sure there is more, but then I would just be rambling on, so on that note..ciao.

My Interests

Traveling, reading, climbing Stone Mountain, raquet ball, watching Nova at like 2 in the morning. Good stuff

I'd like to meet:

Louise Armstrong just to listen to him sing and play his sax. Anybody who is intresting, and not egocentric. I like meeting new people, but despite my out going personality, I am kind of shy around strangers. Till I get to know you, then I act like we've been friends for years.

Music:

Anything but country. I like the old bluegrass though. Arabic, and African cultural music. Euro trash music, not a whole lot of R&B or Rap. Old school stuff like Petshop Boys, Erasure, Aha, Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue, and Monaco. I like spanish music even if I cant understand the words. Hello.. Tengo la camisa negra and Gasolina. In Mexico we would hear a car drive by and would start singing Gasolina, even if it wasnt. Reggeaton sounds the same, but I like it anyway. Gypsy Kings are the kings of course. I played them at work and all the white people were like what is this mexican music? Pssh, ignorant fools. I felt so foreign. Alex Fox who use to play his guitar at a bar on Ocean Blvd in Miami. He has some great cds out now. I like some harder music too, like Orgy, some Disturbed, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. Dont ask me who the artist is, or even the name of the song, I can however sing along with it. The classics of course. Oh and Sarah Brightman, and Andrea Bocchelli. Those peeps make me want to sing that well 2. Like that will ever happen. Well it could, just in the shower though;)

Movies:

Ima have to go with some classics, like Hatari, Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea, the eternal Lord of the Rings all three, Second Hand Lions, The Mummy cuz of some sexy men in those movies. The dry humor of Hitchhikers guide to the universe and Bridget Jones. Of course Sense and Sensibility, and Pride and Prejudice. Chick flicks. Oh I liked Underworld, Harry Potters(more so the books then the movies) Goodfellas, and any good movies with hot men in them.

Television:

Lost! Sawyer and Jack are Hot! CSI Las Vegas, just cuz I like the medical aspect of it. Simpsons, Futurama(Why did they cancel it?) American dad, esp Roger the alien, and Will and Grace.

Books:

Quiet Flows the Don, Sherrilyn Kenyon's books, Les Miserables, Irving Stones books, Quo Vadis, and a lot of classics, history and historical novels. Oh and the book Stiff, the curious lives of human cadavers.

Heroes:

Anyone who ever commited a selfless act in the service of others. Sometimes I can add myself to that, most often not. History always remember the great ones, but not the everyday heroes that make life a miracle. I.e. Doctors, nurses, emts, joe schmo who lends a helping hand. Without these kind of people, the ones you hear about would never have made it to your ears.
