Nelson Gonzalez III, a.k.a. Nemesis, is the son of legendary Tres player Nelson Gonzalez. He is one of the pioneers of Reggaeton. Nemesis has performed and recorded with every legendary Latin artist from Conga Kings with Patao, Candido and Giovanni Hidalgo to Eddie Palmieri, Ismael Miranda, Fania and Tipicas lead singer Adalberto Santiago (godfather to Nemesis, who along with his father, has been a mentor since childhood), La India, Alfredo de la Fe, Isidro Infante, Willie Colon, Tito Puente and many others. His Hip Hop credits include WuTangs Killer Priest, Hellraza from Sunz of Men, a collaboration with the Freestyle champion Supernatural, Daddy Rose from Black Rose Cartel, Macabees and Lyricists Lounge. Nemesis has sung along with DJs Playero, DJ Negro, DJ Dynamite, DJ Danny, DJ Gordo, and DJ Joe (a college friend of Nemesis).
Nemesis first solo album, Mi Bandera, was the top-selling CD at UBO. Nemesis is mentioned in a 2003 Village Voice article (Nemesis Takes over at a Latin Grammy show at BB Kings Theatre), and his marketing concept for the album and the album itself are mentioned a May, 2004 New York Times article (Hip Hop Between the Cold Cuts).
Nemesis has toured the United States and the rest of the world, and now has teamed up with producer, songwriter Ray Contreras (Santana, Jennifer Lopez, La India) to create his upcoming release Nemesistema.
