I’ve been playing music since I was seven years old, when I started playing the violin. When I was 15, I switched to playing the bass. It came very natural for me, as my father is a professional bassist.
I had my first paying gig when I was seventeen, playing Guys & Dolls for a high school musical. Since then, I have been principal bassist for the Peninsula Youth Orchestra; studied performance bass, both classical and jazz, at Cal State East Bay (Hayward); bass instructor for the Fremont Youth Orchestra; traveled to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil with orchestra’s and jazz ensembles; and has performed over 20 musicals in the Bay Area.
I currently freelance in the bay area performing for musical theatre companies. I currently play for Douglas Morrison Theatre, Diablo Light Opera Company.
I’m known for my attention to detail, time keeping, sight reading ability, professionalism, and flexibility. I play both acoustic and electric bass, jazz and classical.
