Welcome to my page, home of my music and bass chatter
Currently i'm heavily involved with one of the UK's funkiest groups, Groove Cartel . I've been with the band for just over a year now, in which time we've toured the UK's top funk venues, including the Jazz Cafe, Camden, the HiFi club, Leeds, and regular visits to the Yardbird, Birmingham. We're a 7 piece funk band, doing select covers in our funky way, as well as some groove funklets of our own creation. With a new demo just out, a DVD shoot in the mastering stages, and top club/festival gigs on the cards at the moment, the band is doing well and pushing out the boundaries of funk and soul.
I'm also playing bass, and recording with Saville , we're just about to finish mastering our next album "Telling Tales". You can check out some of our tracks from the latest album "All Inside Out" here or visit iTunes and buy the album there.
Other than that, i'm doing sessions and dep gigs as well as forming a few more experimental projects which i'll write more about soon.
Gear wise (for all you bassists out there)...i'm now proud to endorse Mike Lull Basses . I'm in the middle of sorting out the spec for my new bass, but i know it's going to be all that i could hope for from a bass. They're totally awesome instruments in every way. All of you Fender lovers out there, you seriously need to check them out! More to come on amps and cabs...just sorting out some deals, but for the moment my trusty Ampeg SVT II (non pro) is doing me proud, all the tone you could ever want!
Thanks for checking out my page, feel free to message me with any comments, my availability, or about Lull basses.
Thanks
Jamie
