Ride On Rides is a complex band to portray in the way that all eminent groups can be- a combination of classic songwriting and rowdy, free-flowing performances. The Band was free of any existing categories or monikers, thus Ride On Rides, with its mix of 1960's melodies and angular dynamics, created a label that suited its sound perfectly: Vintage Post-Pop. Assembled around sharp hooks, descending bass lines, Bowie-esque piano arrangements, and boombastic beats, Ride On Rides creates a musical atmosphere that can be appreciated by young and old alike- a demographic of 8 to 80.Manish Ayachit had been in a various Los Angeles bands when he met talented bass player/vocalist/entertainer Jake Drake. As the two became close, Jake and Manish quit their respective bands and created a new project. Along with Ashley Prather, keys/vocals, the band Ride On Rides was formed and the trio spent most of a year honing their craft. With influences from the Libertines to the Zombies, Clash to the Kinks the fledgling band spent hours pouring over musical direction and style. After emerging from their musical laboratory, the band embarked on five months of non-stop gigging. While their unique sound was rounding out and the live show was becoming an emerging presence that people couldn't ignore, Ride On Rides was still not complete. After three months of songwriting hibernation, a steady diet of rehearsal chops and studio time, the band's bold sound emerged when Drummer/Producer Keith Crutchfield (Oslo, Casionova, Cute Phase) joined the Ride as a member of this song writing force now working with Producer Krish Sharma and Executive Producer Milton Kim on a Summer in the studio- expect a fall tour in support of the new release. r
