About Me

I am happily married to a wonderful man and we have two young sons. I joined the Marine Corps before I graduated high school in 1993 and after 13 years I recently got out. I loved being a Marine and was stationed in many different places throughout my 13 years. I was so lucky to have met some of my closest dearest friends in the Corps, including the love of my life!!! I am now in a totally different place in my life staying home with two little boys. I swear being a Marine was a lot easier than being a stay at home mom! :) I thought after leading tons of Marines that a 4 year old would be no problem---boy was I mistaken!!! I love my boys though and wouldn't change anything! It's a new life and I am thoroughly enjoying it!! I have to admit at times I do miss being a Marine but I am truly thankful for my wonderful family and the life I have now.

My Interests

Music:

Anything.

Movies:

Oh, something other than Disney movies??? I'll have to get back to this one. ;)

Television:

I like Scrubs, Girls Next Door, Dr 90210, Law and Order (original and Special Victims-although I can't watch either when Paul is out of town b/c I will be too scared to sleep!) I also like watching Bill O'Reiley and Anderson Cooper.

Books:

The few, The Proud: Women Marines in Harm's Way by Sara Sheldon

Heroes:

It's hard for me to answer this b/c when I hear the word hero I think of the young men and women who have lost their lives or have been injured in Iraq or Afghanistan b/c of a decision they made to sacrifice themselves for their brother/sister in arms. There are so many stories out there of true acts of unselfishness and heroism that to call just anyone a hero wouldn't be right for me.
