Fitch - GRIFFON

About Me

Click here to visit the Silverfox MySpace!
Welcome! My name is Fitch, and I'm the proud drummer for GRIFFON, a melodic heavy rock band out of Massachusetts. Drumming is my most sincere passion, and since January of 2006, I have poured my life into my drums. I've been fortunate enough to play, in one capacity or another, with Griffon, Head First, Brian Dollaway, Fourth Year, Full Tilt, Forgo Famine, Soulacious, North Five, The Empty Wallet Club/Letdown, Lift (now Jump the Fall), Lily Holbrook, and Cold-Dead-Hand
I'm always looking for a chance to flex my musical muscle and try new projects, so drop a line if you're looking for a session drummer! Though my heart and soul lie with rock music, I welcome the chance to play everything from funk to metal to pop to blues to... well, you tell me what to play!
On top of Griffon, I have a labor of love side project called FOURTH YEAR, where I play guitar, and I've done some work as a producer with some local bands..
I'm also the Business Manager for GORDON'S SHED, the best recording studio for the price in New England. Joining in with some of my best friends, please feel free to contact me if you've got an interest in recording some music, and we'll be happy to talk with you and come up with a plan that works right for YOU and for YOUR project.
As of May 2008, I'm proud to annouce I now play Silverfox Percussion Drumsticks exclusively, and I look forward to a long and friendly relationship with a great company and a great drum stick!
My favorite moment ever on stage... sad, huh?
GRIFFON's first CD, available May 25th, 2007!!!

My Blog

Going at it full tilt!

There's a profound joy in doing session work. I love getting the call, diving into a band's library, and bringing what I can to the table to do my best to make them sound as good as I can. Tim from Fo...

Acoustic metal?

So what do you do when you suddenly get offered a slew of gigs? How do you possibly switch gears between your hard rock band, your rock cover band... and then throw into that pile an acoustic singer/ ...

"Ken can’t be Mr. Busy! He’s Mr. Emo!"

The subject line of this blog was a brilliant quote by the infamous Tom Annino from his Framingham State College days describing Ken "Nate" Arienti, and we all had a good laugh at the time. It's funny...

Paradise

I guess all musicians have a dream, and it's all pretty much the same: we all want to make a living off it. It's true that it may be in different levels of success, but at the end of the day, we all w...

Let us be who we am, so let’s kick out the jams

Jam.   Jam jam jam.   Not the boysenberry kind, but the kind that gets you excited hours before it happens. The kind of jam that makes you wonder what it's going to feel like, what it's goi...

Opening a musical tomb

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm all smiles and handshakes when it comes to playing music. I love getting involved with almost anything I can drum in, be it my own band, a cover band, or session wor...

The 2007 Review

Musically speaking, 2007 was a pretty bad-ass year. GRIFFON released our first EP in May to an amazing show, and we've sold a few hundred copies of it. Our crowds have gone from a handful of peop...

Fourth Year, Part III: I shouldn’t play guitar

This past weekend, a freaking miracle occured: Jimi, Matt, Keith, and myself all stood in the same room together for several hours. It may be the only time this ever actually occurs, but for a brief, ...
