I'm someone who lives their life with no regrets - no shoulda, coulda, woulda - life is too short to wish something could have been done differently. Plus you'll only drive yourself crazy thinking of the different outcomes.
I believe the body to be a canvas waiting for decorative pieces of art to be imprinted on it. Hence why I have two tattoos. My first tattoo is a trail of tribal elephants on my upper left arm. The second one is on the back of my right calf - 14 Chinese characters that cover the entire calf.
I work in the entertainment industry. Used to work on the music side but flipped over to the home entertainment (DVD) thanks to the company laying me off - best thing that could have ever happened to me. Why the entertainment industry? I love pop culture, plus it allows me to wear my jeans to work :) I hated the corporate lifestyle and what better way to make a living - work in a casual, fun, somewhat laidback environment where I can wear jeans and talk about things I love - music, movies and pop culture.
It's amazing what one can learn in this industry. I've learned a lot about people - how to handle certain personalities, how to read people, body language and how you can tell who really is and isn't your friend. Kind of feel like I'm studying to be a psychologist - lol I've met a lot of great people that I thought I'd never meet in my life - people who have shared their wisdom and have made some sort of impact on my life and these are the people I will never forget. Funny - all of my really good friends are people I've met during my career and I'm greatful.
Video games - the best stress reliever. When I need to expend some anger, I hit the gaming platforms. I've always loved video games as a kid. So much so I actually purchased an Atari system to re-live those classic memories. Love this system so much I'm on the lookout for Coleco Vision and Intellivision (this is the very first gaming platform I owned). But the ultimate goal is to purchase a Galaga free standing machine. I don't know one person that did not like or love this game. There's something about it that makes me go goo-goo gaga.
I'm very cautious as to who I let close to me - either as friend or a significant other. Very few people in my life know me very well, in fact I can count them all on one hand. I choose who to let in and who to keep out. I choose who sees, touches, feels and experience my heart. I protect it as it's the only one I have. I believe in karma - I've seen it happen and it's a bitch when it swings back ten-fold. Everyone gets what they deserve whether it's good or it's bad.
The love of my life at the moment is my nephew Ben. He'll be eight months on January 21st but he's such a little man. Ben will definitely be a handful but looking forward to being there for every single important moment in his life.
I'm greatful for everything I've been given and have. Take nothing for granted as there are millions of other people who are worse off than me. My friends describe me as the person who would give people the last morsel on my plate, the shirt on my back and shelter over your head when needed.
My family and friends are my riches. When they're happy I'm happy, when they're sad I'm sad, when they hurt I hurt.
