Marcelo was born in summer of 1980 in Hannover/Germany. When aged 14, he started playing the guitar and quickly became infected with heavy music when bands like Machine Head, Pantera, Sepultura and Fear Factory revolutionized the meaning of modern metal in the 90s. By the age of 19, he joined his first more or less known band in his local district called Banished Reality. During the years to follow he gathered a lot of studio and live experience. Marcelo recorded a demo CD and a full length album entitled "Realitivität" with "Banished Reality".In 2004 Marcelo left Banished Reality to join his current Band Drone. In Drone he found friends and musicians who are sharing his passion for powerful modern metal and attitude towards a strong and disciplined mode of operation.The band recorded their first 6-track promo EP “Octane” in January 2005. In the following year, Drone won the internationally renowned “Metal Battle Contest” at the Wacken Open Air. Their full length debut "Head-on Collision" was released on Armageddon Records / Soulfood in 2007. Adjoining tours with bands like Overkill (USA), Pro Pain (USA), Ektomorf (HUN) and Pro Pain (USA) led Drone all across Europe, Asia and to almost every important European festival. In 2008 Drone went in the studio to record their upcoming full length album “Juggernaut” which was released by Wacken Records / SPV in 2009. Extensive live activities for 2010 are in the making...
