You can buy the NEW CD THE COME UP by just emailing the record label or buy it at some Best Buys or on Ebay its listed under Tucker and MG The Come Up Hip Hop/rap I started playing the guitar when I was 15 and did not start rapping seriously until I was 16 years old. I was always walking down the hall rapping or making a beat on my desk at school. I liked all different kinds of music so my rap style is very diverse. I bought an 808 and started making beats. I spent hours on that thing. I was always intrigued by music, there was just something about it that made me feel so good. I made my first rap song when I was 18, it was a little rough because I knew nothing about recording and sound. I then started studying music and music production. I taught myself how to play the guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, how to mix records, MC, and DJ. I bought all the instruments I could. I would rather make music than watch T.V. or chill any day. It can be frustrating at times but I am always pleased with the end result. Music keeps me alive and is my life. Most everything I do is based around music. I went to G.A. Southern and became interested in techno, drum and bass, house, deep dish, trance, break beats, jungle music, and mixing. When I left Southern and came back to the A town (Atlanta G.A) I started making money by DJing at bars and clubs. I grew up on urban and rap music, so it was just in my blood. I loved everything about it, it had a beat that you could dance to and it just made you move. My biggest influences are Outkast, Jay-z, Goodie Mob, BIG, Pac, Run DMC, Dr Dre, Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, NAS, Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Sublime, Blind Melon, 311, and Miles Davis. I used to play with my moms vinyl and try to scratch over Beatles records. My friend Mark and I used to just listen to records and make music for hours every day. I looked forward to doing it every day and never got bored with it. By that time I had a mixing board 3 guitars, a drum kit, two technics turn tables, vestex mixer, a PA, the 808 beat machine, and a computer to run software. I started collecting vinyl around this time and just loved the sound it gave off. I used to smoke and just listen to records all night long. I would not just listen to the music I would count the drum beat, separate all the instruments in my head and would try to figure out what they were doing to make their music sound like it did. I studied music for about 7 years and have not stopped yet. There is always something new to learn about music. When I was 22 and DJing in buck head at clubs, I got caught up in the night life and postponed my music career, but was DJing at some of the most elite clubs in Atlanta. I was also still in school full time and had a full time job. I went in and out of making music. I would get real into it and then would be distracted by something that was going on in my life. I didn't start taking music seriously until I was 23. I started working on it more frequently and started getting better at it. I also got a Motif keyboard when I was 23 and started using it the way it should be used. I started hanging out with Tucker and Mark about everyday when I was 23. We all evolutionized through the years. I met Blonju when I was 23 and started making music with him a lot too. I started doing music 6 days out of every week when I was 24. I was working with all kinds of different people and meeting connections left and right. This is when I started networking through music. I started to perform (rapping live) when I was 24. I got a real studio when I was 25 and started recording people with protools. I bought a digi 002,a G 5 apple, Avalon, new monitors, new mackie amp, new mixer, more guitars, MPC 2000 XL, tons of mics, and got my first mic that was well over 1,000$. I started making money recording people and interned at a studio in Atlanta. I started rapping with a band when I was 25 and made money playing out at venues. I was making money DJing, recording, and performing so, I would say it has become a big part of my life. I started Fahrenheight Records when I was 25. I am coming out with 3 new albums in 2006. One with Big Tymer Tucker, 1 solo albums, one with Mark Rockwell, and Blonju.
