Beverly Ann Smith
A uniquely versatile San Francisco based artist, Beverly is a talented actress, singer/songwriter, as well as a cutting edge stand-up comic. Originally from Texas, Beverly has been writing, performing, and creating art since the tender age of 9 when she first began singing regularly at a bi-monthly country & western jamboree in her hometown of Pecos. As a young adult, she relocated to Austin Texas where she continued to pursue her music career, performing with such notable bands as The Nixons and Left Field. She later formed the bands Mindscape, and Emerald Star which was showcased at SXSW in 1995. Additionally, she has carried out countless performances as a singer songwriter at various clubs, including the legendary Steamboat in Austin Texas, which has been host to such late greats as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Janis Joplin.
In 1999 Beverly left Texas for good, relocating to the San Francisco bay area where she continues to write and perform regularly. She is currently working on completion of her newest album "Shine" originally due for release fall of 2006, but put on hold due top health issues.
