About Me

my mate mike
..Valerie are from Manchester, England. They have been touring for the past couple of years playing alongside the likes of, The Gossip, Sleater-Kinney, Le Tigre, The Donnas, Electrelane, The Liars, Numbers, The Rogers Sisters, Erase Errata and Black Lace. They've also been busy playing with their showbiz mates The Blue Minkies, befriending trannies in Amsterdam, and getting electric shocks in Oslo. They have also played many gigs for Ladyfest and Queeruption. Their new years resolution is to record more. Their sound is messed up, lofi, diy, disco punk. So there right.

Sounds Like: "Hmmm, sounds like old school Riot Grrrl, like (obscure, diminutive, fierce, Northerners) Bette Davis & The Balconettes, like a whole bundle of f****ng fun, with a bass that louder than all shit, and twice as funky as The Gossip. At least three songs verge on rudimentary, primal ooze rap - excellent stuff, truly excellent."This quote came from Everett True writing in 'Careless Talk Costs Lives'. Everett later noted, that at this particular gig, we weren't actually using a bass. He was obviously just feeling our funky shit.
