About Me

Summertime...continues to plod along...as we reach the dog days of August, the last few months have disappeared with a whisper. Vacation came and went, the shore is the shore, and the sprint to Labor Day has begun. August is always a fun month. This year should be no different. And September...well, we won't go there now. Again, I reiterate: Have a drink and enjoy...more good times to come. Now, about me:Work hard, play hard -- a rule to live by. I love to laugh and do so every day about something and sometimes everything. Laughter makes the world go 'round...When the summer hits, I'm a beach bum. What is better than the smell of the ocean? I love the sand, flip flops, and shore cover bands: the true guilty pleasure. I wear flip flops until my toes can't take it.I love music. More than ever. My ever changing playlists reflect the mood of time: the week, the day, sometimes even the hour and minute. It can be a rollercoaster. But I like it that way.I try to travel as much as I can...usually with the same crew ... recently, I've gone to Montreal, Paradise Island, Los Angeles, South Carolina and Aruba ... but none of those top the San Diego/Vegas/San Francisco road trip through the Mojave desert in August, 2004. Not to mention the other three trips to Vegas in the last few years...haven't been there in a while but that is about to change. See you in October. All that being said though ... NYC, where I live ... is the best. I have three Starbucks within four blocks of my apartment! I enjoy running through Riverside Park when its nice out ... and sitting on a bench with some frozen yogurt and my IPOD. Nothing tops Sunday brunch with a mimosa (or four), with some outdoor seating near the park somewhere...We live once. Words to live by: Just do it. It is better to live and fail than to not live at all.Later!

Questions, but no answers.

A day in the life of a pseudo-therapist -- Part I

Things are never as bad as they seem...that is usually the first advice I give to an emotionally troubled friend.  Last night, patient X was trying to desperately get over a girl that had be...

Thinking about the ocean (god damn you Ian!)

Something about smelling the ocean is extremely peaceful...as I toil away in this now very cold winter, I find myself daydreaming about the warm breeze and soft sand one finds on the beach in mid-July...

people are strange...

Aren't they? Just look around. Most new people I come across always seem a little off after awhile. Why is that? Do I have that little tolerance for new and different personalities? Or at 28, do ...
