I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

Welcome to my blog, wherein I express observations about this thing called life, observations which have previously been penned in a more studied and erudite manner, by people far wiser than myself.
Apparently I come across slightly aloof and overly calm, do everything fast and efficiently, and have a subconsciously sarcastic manner. That's what my fiends say, I'll omit my enemies' review, suffice to say that few people like me straight away.
I am trying to change, bare with me.

My Interests

From the past: drawing, mathematics, weapon-making, tree-climbing, board card & computer games, tennis, toy-soldiers, eating birthday cake, collecting anything, electronics, programming, engineering
In the now and continuous: travelling, music, writing, personal development, fitness, sales, playing any sport
The to-do list: politics, film-making, novelist, musician, martial arts, hypnotism, buddhism, sailing, adventuring

I'd like to meet:

Attractive women who don't believe their own press-cuttings. Anyone else who is socially, politically or economically powerful or potentially a Good Person To Know.
I don't want to meet Eastern Bloc Mailorder Brides, anyone in a band or individuals wanting to use me as a micro-building block for their own financial gains.

Music:

It's proving to take a lifetime's investment of time to analyse music to the point that it's no longer enjoyable.
I find merit in and listen to all kinds of music and am a bit snobby when you don't, so here are some of my current favourites to improve your taste in music.
Accent - Red Sky At Night
Billy Fury - Wondrous Place
Billy May - Leroy Holmes
John Holt - For The Love Of You
System F - Out Of The Blue

Movies:

So long as the motivation was to put an idea to celluloid, as opposed to making some money I'll probably enjoy it.

Television:

There are only 24 hours in a day, this doesn't take any of it.

Books:

Educational, mentally stimulating, escapist, creative, time consuming. I've never burned one.

Heroes:

Mao Tse tung, Spiderman, My Mum, The Dice Man

common people

The smug english middle class may belittle and complain about the council estate lifestyle over a glass of not-too-cheap-not-too-expensive wine in their pretentious city bars, however, you have got to...

A few thoughts (guaranteed to be more interesting than the usual cerial box blather on here)

On Sport:I've never been a fanboy of any team or sport.  I've experienced the tension, excitement, elation, dismay, adrenalin rush of supporting a team but most of the time, I'd rather be out on ...

Real Life Guide

Everyday I am appalled by the lack of education of England's youth.  They can't spell or construct sentences, don't know the geography of anything outside a 15 mile radius of their own home, can'...
