My Father Jose "REFUGIO" Sanchez Romero, A Chef, for 30 yrs, my Mother Domitila Carrillo Nuñez de Sanchez, Seamstress for over 15 yrs and Complete Wife. I have Three Wonderful Sisters. I have A Wonderful lil Two Year Old Son, My pride and Joy!I Started Refugio Norteño back in 2002. However it did not really come about until after the birth of my Son. I met Cuyo and Palomo @ Leonardos Nite Club, while I was playing sax with another group. I was told Cuyo was intrested in playing in a group. A month later, after the birth of my lil Boy. I called Cuyo and Palomo, two Months later Refugio Norteño was back in action, in the Well Known clubs of Los Angeles, Calfornia.In Novemeber of 2005, We signed with EPR-Pico Promotions, this is the Band you have gotten to know. Spring of 2006, our first cd,"TU REFUGIO" Was Released with the label of EPR. The first 1,500 copies sold in less than two months.Summer of 2006, We launched our 1st Video, "Mariposa Traicionera" which was Directed by EL GALAN (Jose Rocha).
