...we're only immortal for a limited time.

About Me

Hey there! I'm Austin...
I graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a degree in journalism in 2006. I have a pretty awesome copy editing job at a local newspaper, so I think my life after graduation is off to a pretty decent start. Yeah, working nights is rough at times, but I get to read the newspaper 12 hours before the rest of Long Beach gets to...so HA! ;-)
I'm an incredibly simple person...I think life only gets complicated when you make it complicated, so I feel it's best to be as honest and straightforward as possible. Easy enough, yeah?
So...what am I into? I absolutely love music...if I'm not listening to a CD I'm probably playing one in my head. I love going to concerts and playing bass guitar as well. Television and movies are fun too, but I'm a bit picky about what I do and don't like. I can't stand reality television or most sitcoms, and I don't like most of the big blockbuster-type movies. But if something is unique or looks interesting, I'll definitely give it a chance.
I've lived in California for most of my life (a few different places spread out over several years), and I've also lived in Louisiana, Michigan, and Connecticut. The United States is a pretty cool country...there's a lot of interesting stuff out there. Go find it. :-)

My Interests

astronomy, listening to music, the color blue, good conversations, going to concerts, collecting live bootlegs, Calvin and Hobbes, journalism, the little things in life, playing bass guitar, 95.5 KLOS-FM, the New York Yankees, Cisco Burger, chocolate chip cookies, pizza, In-N-Out, Mountain Dew, Slurpees, sprinkled donuts, everything listed on this page, etc...

I'd like to meet:

You!

Seriously...there are a lot of very cool and very unique people in this world, and I haven't met nearly enough of them.

It's especially nice to hear from old friends or other people I haven't talked to in years. And of course if you're a new friend, that's good too. :-)

And if you add me as a friend, please also send me a quick message so your request doesn't get lost in the sea of MySpace spam.
