Fresno born singer and songwriter Katie Bergstrom is a well educated singer
born with an ear for the classics. Raised on diet of gifted talents including the
likes of Neil Diamond and Dusty Springfield, Katie brings forth her influences
with passion and control. Her gentle tones speak volumes about her spirit with
solid authority and conviction while her songs brood with the darker spectrum
of the alternative style.Earning her Bachelor of Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo,Katie
could hear her true passion calling for her to sing. While her dedication and
strong commitment to her education was an important accomplishment, Katie knew that she was destined to express her soul in song.Katie's original recordings share the impressive styling of Sarah McLachlan and are reminiscent of Sarah Bettens of K's Choice. Stand out tracks include the songs "Cry For Me" and "Can You Hear Me". Produced by Mike Jackson who has credited work with Jewel, Pat Monahan to name a few, Katie's songs follow steadily in the footsteps of some very well respected artists. Recently performing at the 2006 SXSW Festival in Texas, Katie's show was more than a singing success, it was warmly received to the crowd at Darwin's, sold out to full capacity.
