About Me

Born & raised in NYC, I've always had an interest in arts and other cultures. Having traveled allot as a child and an adult (which is much better), I've gathered much perspective which I always try to use. I think what causes most of the worlds problems (besides similar morons who take their religion too damn seriously; mind you this is a priest telling you this) are people who are unable to see things from another's perspective. I think all perspectives and religions have their strengths & weaknesses and you just need to be accepting of the ones that'll help you and be tolerant of the ones that wont. I was an only child until 20 when my mom and her new husband had a kid of their own and another a few years later. So now I have two adorable little bros. In college I actually learned interesting things, met the love of my life, started studying martial arts (and incidentally found fighting methods dirtier than my own) & holistic medicine, and began to work in documentaries. I even worked (Assistant Director) on an award winning documentary about Beat poet Allan Ginsberg called "Van Gough's Ear". A piece that I wrote about it was published in NASA Abstracts Beat Culture: The 1950s and Beyond after I read it at a conference at VU University in Holland. You can find it in your college library if you're really interested. After realizing that it's a struggle to pay the bills as a scholar or a documentary filmmaker I tried cable tv, than cable TV documentaries. In every case I was making more money bartending at a comedy club (yea not even a trendy bar) and doing pyrotechnics at parties on the weekends. So now I work in advertising and everything is allot funnier now. It's a regular full time job but I don't worry about $ any more and the folks here aren't nearly as uptight as the other places I've worked. I was able to make enough money to throw a huge wedding for the love of my life and I this past summer. Of course the honeymoon was my favorite part; she picked out this beautiful seaside resort/bungalow in Crete. I'll try and get pictures up. I've even started writing again (thus this exercise) but now I want to work on more fiction.

New Harry Potter Movie! Yay!

Okay. I don't like the movies as much as the books and they have to butcher this one as it's the longest. But Order of the Phoenix is my favorite book of the series, so I'm really looking forward to...
