I was born on the third of January 1969 to Rolf and Elisabeth Schumacher. My family moved to the town of Kerpin-Manheim, a working class town near Cologne, Germany. It was there that my family and I became involved with carting. I was only four at the time I was given a kart powered by an old lawn-mower engine by my father. Carting became a family obsession fed by the resourcefulness of the elder Schumacher (My Father) and the spirit of a young child (Myself). My mechanical ability allowed me to work part-time repairing other go-karts at the local track. In 1980 I traveled to Nivelles, Belgium for the World Carting Championship and saw a driver that impressed me deeply, that driver was Ayrton Senna. I was soon making a name for myself and in 1984 I won the German Junior Championship. The European championship came my way in 1987. "In life you find that things aren’t as they appear. My Interests
I'd like to meet:
God, He is my one and only everything. I would like to think that I am his biggest fan and that he is watching over me every time I sit in that cockpit.
