DJ m/k was born quite unexpectedly at an old sleezy hooker bar in the spring of 2006. While substituting at a friends' regular hangout - SonntagsClub - m/k got a taste for spinning the wheel. Since then, m/k has been practicing, playing, and experimenting around in Copenhagen nightlife - played gigs at queer locations and at political parties and demonstrations, Tease, Dunkel, Culture Box, Jolene Bar, Coma Club, Warehouse9, Folkets Hus, Råhuset, Basement, Nadsat, Typisk Lesbisk etc. She has played alongside: DVA FRUKTA, Djuna Barnes, Miss Fish, Nuclear Family, Heidi Mortenson, Thomas Madvig, Sheila (x-Elastica), DRAMA!Kings, Rosa Lux, Minimal Martin etc. and hosted Klub Klash at Vela. Sounds like: cheap pling plong plasticfantastic, deep and hard beats, uncomplicated popish and complicated arty farty shit, sexy women vocals, unexpected turns, the sound of love, anger, riot, joy… whatever!!! Electro, minimal tech... mostly.
